Event Stats

Camp Moxy started as an experiment in getting a fully remote team in the same place; two years later, it’s the event everyone circles on the calendar. From Texas Hill Country to the San Diego bay, each retreat brings its own backdrop and its own inside jokes, all rooted in the same intention: give the team time to actually be a team.

Highlights

Camp games that got competitive

Give a remote team real sunshine and suddenly they’re sprinting through relay races like trophies are involved. Texas delivered water volleyball spikes, pickleball rivalries, and the now-legendary Moxy Olympics. San Diego kept pace with a ten-mile bike ride and a paddle pub that quickly turned into an accidental dancefloor.

Dinners with a sense of place

Texas brought picnic tables, smoky barbecue, and a farewell spread people didn’t want to leave. San Diego offered a coastal luau and skyline dinners that stretched long past the reservation. The team lingered everywhere (always a good sign).

Heavy concentration faces - a must-have for glassblowing

Settings worth the plane ride

Camp Moxy never repeats itself. One year it was cabins, riverbanks, and glamping under wide open skies. The next gave them palm trees, marina breeze, and sunsets begging for photos. Different backdrops, same effect: everyone relaxed faster than expected.

“The BoomPop platform and event planning team make our events a recipe for perfection… We can’t imagine doing an without them.”

Kirra Egan

Director of Finance

Camp Moxy has become the team’s annual reset—a few days to trade Slack pings for real faces and reconnect in a way that lasts.

With BoomPop running point, the tradition keeps getting richer, and all the team needs to do is show up ready for the next chapter.
